Life Is Too Short For Waiting Lists
According to the Canadian Medical Association there are currently more than one million people in the country who are on waiting lists for medical treatment. In 2005, Statistics Canada estimated that 4.3 million Canadians had difficulty accessing 'first contact' services such as family doctors, and 1.2 million had difficulty getting specialized care over a 12-month period due to long waiting times. More than 30 percent said that their health deteriorated while waiting to see a specialist.
The Medical Attention Canadians Need, Without The Line up
Kelly Meloche, founder of International Health Care Providers Inc. (IHP) of Windsor, Ontario recognized the urgent need to assist patients who are anxious to simply be well again and who feel helpless in their fight for timely medical attention. IHP connects Canadian patients with U.S. health care service providers to obtain the medical treatments they desperately need. Currently, the wait for a simple knee replacement surgery in Canada can be a year or longer. In most cases, IHP can arrange to have the patient in front of a U.S. surgeon within two weeks.
One call to IHP starts the ball rolling. They will orchestrate the transfer of medical records, then connect patients with the most suitable physician and facility, based on a thorough assessment of the individual's healthcare needs.
IHP will connect patients with financial institutions for their financing needs. Transportation to and from medical facilities can be arranged, as well as accommodations for patient's families if a longer stay is required. IHP will also monitor patient progress and are equipped to coordinate an itinerary for the patient's aftercare needs.
Over the past year, Kelly and her medical advisor team have developed relationships with a growing number of US hospitals and medical facilities that offer top-notch experts and cutting edge technology in the medical fields that Canadians currently have to wait to see.
The Medical Attention Canadians Need, Without The Line up
"It is my pleasure to facilitate opportunities for Canadians to renew their quality of life by reclaiming good health. Taking walks with you grandchildren or actively pursuing career goals fuels a sense of joy and fulfillment so great there is no room for pain or restriction. Each of us deserves prompt medical care so that we may enjoy the life we have created for ourselves."
